CATHERINE ORBAN, MA, NCC
I am a pre-licensed mental health counselor working under the supervision of Dr. Lori Evenson, PHD, LPC-MH. I hold a BA in Family and Consumer Sciences from Chadron State College and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of South Dakota. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and am currently working toward licensure in the state of South Dakota.
My focus is in supporting individuals across the lifespan - including children, adolescence, and adults who are working through life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, stress, and identity exploration. I have a strong interest in working with children and am especially passionate about trauma and grief work with individuals of all ages.
My therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques, Sand tray, and somatic processing techniques.
