Kelsey Kruse, MA, LPC-MH (SD), LMHC (IA), LPC (MN), CCTP
II am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health with over a decade of experience supporting individuals in the Sioux Falls community. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Sioux Falls Seminary and bring a steady, compassionate presence to my work as a trauma-informed therapist. I work with pre-teens, teens, and adults who have experienced challenging or overwhelming life events, offering thoughtful, individualized care that supports healing, resilience, and meaningful growth.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and trained in Brainspotting, a focused and powerful approach that helps process trauma, emotional pain, and deeply held patterns at the body–brain level. I am licensed in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa, and provide telehealth services to clients across all three states.
I specialize in trauma therapy, working with individuals who have experienced abuse, violence, or other overwhelming events. I approach trauma work with care, intentional pacing, and deep respect, creating a space where healing feels both safe and empowering.
I also work with adolescents as they navigate identity development, peer relationships, academic pressures, and family dynamics. The teen years can feel overwhelming, and I strive to provide a supportive environment where young people feel heard and understood. My work with adolescents emphasizes emotional awareness, healthy coping skills, and confidence during this important stage of growth

Prior to joining Evenson Counseling, I worked at The Compass Center (Solace) for ten years, where I provided counseling for individuals with traumatic experiences. I have also worked as a family services provider, supporting at-risk families and teaching parenting and child development skills.
